Our Beautiful Community
We’re grateful for the wonderful community we serve and the beautiful earth we call home.
We employ smart energy and water conservation technologies in every store and use 100% post-consumer recycled paper. We recycle 99% of our cardboard and prioritize products that use paper or glass over plastic—overall using 40% less energy than traditional grocery stores.
In partnership with the Lowcountry Food Bank, we help provide weekend meal packs for students who are facing food insecurity.
OPIE Opportunities
Education is key to unlocking opportunities. The OPIE Opportunities program provides scholarships for teammates and donates directly to local schools.
School OpportunitiesTurn your groceries into support for your local school. Sign up for an OPIE account at opiestores.com or on the OPIE app; under OPIE Opportunities, select a school. If you already have an account, log into your account at opiestores.com and click OPIE+, then choose your school under My Account.
Scholarships OpportunitiesWhether it's a trade school or a four-year program, the OPIE Opportunities Scholarship helps teammates realize their dreams of higher education. If your program requires a GED or high school diploma and you don't have one, we can help! These scholarships are open to everyone - including older teammates - it's never too late to learn! Teammates can apply in the team portal each November and April.
